Barnett & Fils was founded in 1872 by Victor Emmanuel de Bouchon, a French wine merchant and vintner who emigrated to Russia at the end of the 18th century. He returned to France in 1889 at the age of 48 and set up stall selling wine at his first cousin’s shop in Strasbourg.”
