The 1914 Prunier 'Patriarche' Reserve de la Vieille Maison is a 50 year old Cognac that has been crafted by the Prunier family. This complex and mature Cognac offers aromas of toasted oak, dried fruits, apricot and almonds along with a hint of vanilla spice. On the palate this rare vintage expression reveals its rich mouth feel with hints of butterscotch and dark chocolate. Prunier 1914 'Patriarche' is a 50 year old Cognac. It is distilled from a blend of eaux-de-vie aged between 30 years minimum and 50 years minimum: the oldest eaux-de-vie of Prunier 1914 were shipped in 1964, which means that they have spent 50 years aging in oak casks. Prunier 1914 'Patriarche' Reserve de la Vieille Maison 50 Year Old Cognac is aged for fifty years in oak casks, its slow rate of maturation is due to the fact that only a small number of barrels are used annually to complete each blend. This technique makes for a wonderfully complex and rewarding Cognac. Aged in oak barrels for 50 years, this is a unique selection of Prunier 1914 Cognac. The oldest and rarest of Prunier's collection is distilled only once and aged in oak barrels for 50 years before being bottled. This expression captures the very finest qualities of Prunier's terroir and history to create an outstanding Cognac. Aged for sixty-five years in an oak cask, this Cognac has a mellow taste of honey and vanilla. The result is a soft and rounded flavor that entices the palate with hints of spice and coconut.
