Courvoisier is the oldest Cognac House in France. It has been producing the finest cognacs since 1789. The Courvoisier brand traces its origins back to 1835, to when Jean-Baptiste Delmas established his distillery for making high quality eau-de-vie on the banks of the Gironde River. Courvoisier 3 Star Cognac is aged for three years in oak barrels and then diluted with water to an ABV of 40%. This reduces its strength while allowing it to gain more depth and complexity over time. It is made from a blend of eaux-de-vie, which are distilled each autumn using only the finest fruit from specific vineyards in the Plantation region of Cognac. The cognacs are then aged for up to 25 years (exclusively in Limousin oak barrels), giving them their distinctive flavour and character.
This is a vintage bot. of Courvoisier 3 Star Cognac from the 1970s. The bottle is in good condition and has been disovered in one of our collectors stores. This stopper has become much rarer over the years as many bottles were opened and consumed, some were even re-bottled or simply thrown away. For this reason, it is now impossible to find new bottles with original stoppers on them
