The Macallan Easter Elchies Black is a limited edition release from the distillery, that’s only available for a few months a year during the holiday season. It’s made from specially selected casks from their extraordinary stock of Sherry seasoned oak barrels. This whisky is presented in a beautiful black bottle with gold lettering and rim, topped off with a festive seal that announces the contents within.

This Scotch whisky was distilled in the Elchies distillery and then bottled at 50% ABV. This will be a limited edition release by The Macallan.

As part of the Rare Cask Series, this is a special release of The Macallan’s new Elchies expression, which is made from sherry butts and bottled at cask strength. Not only will this be one of the most rare single malts released by The Macallan, but it will also be one of the most intricate.

Macallan Easter Elchies is an annual release presented in the form of a cask-strength single malt, this whiskies has been aged for a full decade before being bottled at its natural strength – it enjoys no chill filtration, nor has any coloring been added. The whisky also comes with a message: Easter Elchies is one of those very special releases which has been released just once every 15 years, and each time with this specific batch number which is branded on the bottle’s neck label. The bottle itself was designed solely by Tiger Woods and comes in a wooden case handcrafted by Gilles Monfret himself – an artisan who renovates and restores furniture from around the globe.

The Macallan Easter Elchies (Black) is the newest expression from The Macallan. It’s deep colour, rich and smooth on the palate, with a long spicy finish.

A soft, light and supple young whisky, the Macallan Easter Elchies Black is made up of 12-year old malt that has been matured in ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at 43% ABV. It offers a fruity and spicy character with hints of orange peel, cinnamon, green apple and oak alongside soft milk chocolate aromas and vanilla on the finish.

Easter Elchies Black is the latest release in Macallan’s “Easter Elchies” series, and marks the first time that a non-sherry finished whisky has been released. This 40% ABV release was matured in casks seasoned with dark sherry staves and bottled at cask strength.

South America brings together the rich tastes of Brazil, West Africa and the Caribbean in this Macallan 12 Year Old South America. Made with a combination of Bourbon casks and Sherry casks, each of which naturally infuses their own character on the Macallan whisky. The tropical fruits sweetened by vanilla and citrus notes are enhanced by rich oak tones from its American Oak casks.
