These may be single malts or they may be a blend. In this case, it’s a superb 25 year old whisky produced at Yamazaki and the first example in our celebration of the distillery’s extraordinary history. A complex yet refined single malt whisky, Yamazaki 25 was specially created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Yamazaki Japanese whisky. It is the culmination of decades of painstaking work by Suntory’s master blenders, who selected only the finest barley, aged for 25 years in spent bourbon casks.
Proved to be one of the most highly-anticipated whisky releases of 2019, Yamazaki Hospitality is an incredibly rare 25 year old single malt Japanese whisky. Developed in collaboration with distillery owner Suntory, which has its roots in Yamazaki prefecture near Kyoto, this exquisite whisky was expertly aged in Japan’s Shizunai warehouse on Hokkaido island before hand-bottling and marrying it with French oak barrels.
Many consider Yamazaki 25 to be the best whisky in the world. The Yamazaki 25 Year Old Limited Edition Single Malt Whisky was voted Whisky of the Year by Jim Murray, who stated that “This expression is quite simply a masterpiece.” He also awarded it 93.5 points — as one of only two whiskies to achieve that score during 2012. The Yamazaki 25 Year Old Limited Edition Single Malt Whisky has been named by Jim Murray as his World Whisky of the Year for 2012, achieving a staggering 93.5 points from 100 possible. This means that only eight whiskies have ever scored more highly in all 12 years of his annual “Whisky Bible”, including the winner for 2009 (also from Japan), Hibiki 17

Yamazaki 25 year old single malt whisky is the result of only 1,000 cases produced, using only the finest malts. Single cask and bottled at natural strength, it’s the recipient of many awards including Gold at the International Spirits Challenge 2017.
A limited edition whisky from Yamazaki 25 years in the making, this single malt whisky has been described as having a ‘rich and creamy taste’ with hints of vanilla, chocolate and orange peel. It is bottled at 48% ABV kick starting your drinking experience with an aroma of fresh gingerbread cookie and coffee beans. On the palate you will notice hints of raisin pudding, sweet spice rack, rosemary and smoked bacon.
